What Is Acne?

• Acne is an inherited disorder of the pores. In this disorder, pores shed dead skin cells much faster than normal. Normal pores shed about one layer of dead skin cells per day. The acne-prone pore sheds up to five layers of dead skin cells per day. The skin can't keep up and the pores get clogged.

• The disorder is called Retention Hyperkeratosis.

• When it comes to your genetics, in most cases acne cannot be cured, but it can be controlled.

• Most acne breakouts take about 90 days to mature  and show up on the surface.

This regimen is very important to keep the pores clean because it takes up to 90 days for acne breakout to come up the pore. If you skip the regimen for a day or two, chances are the pores will start getting blocked by the dead skin cells, and you will see the breakout on the surface in 3 months.
